TWPS is seeking applications from experienced, qualified Pressure Welders for permanent positions based at the Bayswater and Liddell Power stations.

We employ more than 600 people with unrivalled specialist power skills and as our business expands we are seeking to add highly skilled and motivated people to our teams.

We are seeking application from experienced and qualified Pressure Welders to join our team working at the Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations. The successful applicants must have the following qualifications, skills and experience: 

  • Power Station or Heavy Industry experience, particularly in Boiler Tube Welding
  • General Construction Induction (White/Blue Card)
  • Demonstrated safety performance and culture
  • Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to optimise plant reliability and operation via a continuous improvement philosophy

Successful candidates must be willing and able to make themselves available for work at short notice, including 12 hour shifts, 7 days per week as required.

Suitable applicants will also be required to successfully complete an on-site, timed weld test to AS/NZS 3992 (T22 boiler tube in the 6G position) and undergo a full pre-employment medical.

In addition, applicants who possess the following will be highly regarded  
AS1796 Welding Certificate(s)

  • Demonstrated experience welding T9 boiler tube
  • Nationally Accredited Confined Space course (obtained within the last two years)
  • Nationally Accredited Working at Heights course (obtained within the last two years)
  • High Risk Work Licenses – Dogging, Rigging, Scaffolding, Forklift, or EWP
  • Knowledge of computer based maintenance management systems (SAP)
