About UsThe Office of the Director-General and Department of Health is responsible for managing the public health system in Queensland, including: regulating health services; monitoring, developing and deploying programs to improve the health of Queenslanders; coordinating health services through Hospital and Health Services and non-government organisations; providing ambulance services; and working with other state and national agencies on policies and programs to improve the health of Queenslanders.The Business Services Unit of the ODG, has a close partnership and works in collaboration with each unit in the provision of expert Human Resource, Financial and Procurement advice in addition to the delivery of timely, customer focussed Administrative support. The Role:  The Assistant Business Manager is responsible for providing effective and timely coordination of business support functions enabling business continuity and success.  The role provides quality assurance in the form of valuable and ethical compliance and governance, and coordinates and manages financial, human resource management and procurement processes for the division.  This role ensures the business support functions operate consistently and effectively, and consults with senior managers in the coordination and management of the budget and other business support activities.  The role will manage and report on finance, compliance, human resources, information management, procurement and contract management matters, and contributes to change initiatives within the division.  The role will also lead, manage and support business support staff to ensure all administrative and business support processes are completed and to a high standard.
