Duties and responsibilities we’ll trust you with:• Developing and delivering high-quality statewide literacy programs to support young people and families while meeting State Library’s service commitments• Coordinating the development of sustainable, creative, and engaging literacy programs while ensuring professional and responsive services to clients. This includes planning and overseeing the day to day workflows of the project, and delivering on key service objectives and organisational priorities• Coordinating strategies and programs ensuring that they are creative, interactive and innovative. This includes designing, developing and implementing key program tasks and schedules to ensure the programs are sustainable and cost-effective• Reviewing, evaluating and reporting on programs to ensure that they meet State Library’s service delivery targets. This includes working with public libraries to establish reporting requirements and meet project objectives• Researching current trends and consulting with key stakeholders across State Library as well as public libraries, industry, government and private sector. This includes examining current research and standards on early childhood and young people’s developmental needs, the use of technology in engagement, and family focused collaboration• Representing State Library on both internal and external user groups, committees, programs and working groups. This includes collaborating with communities of practice, industry bodies, government organisations and targeted specialist services• Undertaking business improvement activities including the development, management and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures ensuring they meet best practice and State Library requirements• Working effectively with colleagues and peers while contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the Public Library Programs leadership team and an active participant in Public Libraries & Engagement portfolio planning and initiatives• Participating in, contributing to and/or managing financial, human resource and/or ICT responsibilities as per the organisational delegations
