The role: Reporting to the Chief Digital Strategy Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all significant digital program and project status and performance information for the Department of Health and Hospital and Health Services, including the visibility, active monitoring, assessment and analysis of the performance of the digital (ICT) Portfolio to the eHealth Executive Leadership Team. You will support decision makers identify, select and prioritise the optimum suite of investments. This is a portfolio, (not program or project) management role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Provide critical support and high-level expert advice to the eHealth Queensland Executive Management Team and Queensland Health senior management regarding ICT portfolio performance and risk.
* Lead and manage a specialist team, developing a culture that assists Queensland Health to deliver successful outcomes.
* Provide expertise to support executive decision making on the eHealth portfolio leveraging decision analytics and simulations to appraise, prioritise and select investments and recommendations for the integration and sequencing of all investments.
* Lead and manage the relationship with the Queensland Government Chief Information Office and Queensland Health Portfolio Office to refine and enhance the Whole of Government ICT portfolio management and investment governance portfolio processes and reporting and to provide support to the eHealth Executive management team, and key governance and advisory bodies.

You will drive client engagements by using advanced analytics techniques to ensure valuable insight on the performance and optimisation of portfolios have been reached.
Additionally, you will demonstrate high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate this analysis into pragmatic approaches to governance and policy creating real value for the business units delivering healthcare for Queenslanders.
Your proven effective oral and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills with the ability to initiate and influence relationships with and between stakeholders, including senior executives, facilitating open communication and collaborative working relationships will be highly regarded to secure this role.
