About the Role
The Enrolled Nurse (Endorsed) is responsible for the provision of quality patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse as delegated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency’s Scope of Practice Framework for Nurses and Midwives. The position operates within a complex high care residential aged care and residential transition care environment which includes older persons with complex medical issues. The role requires the performing of service activities and direct patient care at Redland Residential Care.
* Carry out nursing interventions in accordance with legislation, common law, codes of ethics and conduct, and competency standards.
* Maintain effective interpersonal and communication skills with members of the health care team, residents and visitors including strategies to support communication with residents with sensory or cognitive impairment.
* Actively seek to maintain and upgrade professional skills and knowledge.
* Contribute to teaching of residents, nursing students and other health care workers within delegated scope of practice.
