Title: Project Manager The Company Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) is a leading Defence and Government professional services provider. KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence and Defence Industry for over 20 years and has core competencies in program and project management, engineering, asset management, integrated logistics support, procurement and training solutions, and provides in-depth expertise to a wide range of projects within the Defence sector.

The Role Our Aerospace client requires the support of an experienced Project Manager to assist in the establishment of a new Project Management Office (PMO) within the established Project Management Unit (PMU). The Project Manager (PM) will report to the Director of the PMU and is responsible for the effective delivery of Project Management and related taskings.

Broadly, the PM will be required to: + Support the establishment of the PMO; and + Coordinate the definition of proposed aircraft capability projects (joint capability needs statement, project execution and costings). Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge + Demonstrated competence and experience as per skill level 3 Advanced Project Management Practitioner or above (Essential); + Recognised Project Management qualifications and experience in successful project delivery utilising contemporary PM Methodologies (Essential); + Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related subject area (Essential); + Experience in technical requirements derivation and writing (Essential); + Demonstrated experience in the Defence Aviation Environment (Essential); + Demonstrated competence and experience in stakeholder engagement (Essential); + Effective written and oral communications and negotiation skills (Essential); + Demonstrated ability to manage a team to successful outcomes (Essential); and + Demonstrated understanding of the One Defence Capability System (Desirable).

This role requires an NV1 security clearance. RAAF Base Amberley QLD is the location of this position.
