The role  The Project Officer is responsible for supporting and contributing to Queensland Health’s international engagement policy and activities.  This includes developing and delivering initiatives and strategies that maximise the value from the Queensland Government’s strategic health relationships, building on Queensland health capabilities to improve trade and investment outcomes.  The role is responsible for providing support to policy, projects and activities related to international engagement, and supporting inbound and outbound delegations, workshops and events to enhance outcomes from key health relationships, in particular with China.  The Project Officer will research, prepare and contribute to a range of documents including briefing notes, correspondence, background papers and reports, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders including Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), government agencies, research organisations and industry.  The successful personThe successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have experience providing project support within a large and complex organisation.  You will have experience with international trade and investment and/or business development.  You will be able to prepare reports and draft correspondence, and have a proven track record in building and maintaining effective professional and consultative relationships with stakeholders. You will be a team player with strong communication skills, who can show initiative and perseverance. Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification and Chinese language skills would be well regarded.
