**Position Description:**

The Account Manager is responsible for the on-going success and partnership of named, strategic customers within the assigned public sector territory. This position serves as partner to and advocate for customers, ensuring the highest levels of on-going retention, satisfaction, opportunity development and qualified references. Key to success in this position is the development and maintenance of strong relationships, built on a strong understanding of a consultative approach. This position is structured as a face-to-face delivery model.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Identify and execute business strategies that contribute to the success of the position’s key metrics – retention, renewals, utilization/adoption, opportunities for expansion, and references

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships within assigned client segment to ensure maximum satisfaction and retention levels

+ Identify, prioritize and resolve client issues/concerns; coordinate with appropriate internal departments to provide response and/or solutions

+ Ensure the best interests of both our clients and SAP Concur

**Required Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:**

+ University degree or equivalent, relevant work experience

+ Understanding of the Australian Federal Government public service workings, including the various agency clusters, buying groups and decision-making criteria

+ Experience in client portfolio management exhibiting frequent interaction with internal/external clients and partners; ability to manage multiple stakeholders from C-level to administrative

+ Exposure to and experience with SaaS or cloud-type businesses

+ Ability to analyze a situation/data, define key objectives, recommend strategies and action plans

+ Solid understanding of business and financial systems; organizational decision-making

+ Strong written, verbal communication and negotiation skills

+ Must possess a client-focused attitude with the ability to act as a client advocate when escalating and resolving issues

+ Ability to collaborate with internal teams

+ Planning and project management capabilities, including understanding and usage of CRM
