About the Role

You will be joining one of the essential technology teams at BOQ as a Software Engineer. We are currently engaged in a huge business wide digital transformation which includes a move to an Azure cloud-based platform and technology uplifts across core banking, payments and lending.

We have recently announced a major partnership with Microsoft who are coming onboard to not only help develop our technology infrastructure but our people too. You will be responsible for:

• Providing input to operational considerations related to in-house applications with a particular focus to digital channel and API development.
• Development of high-level technical solution designs;
• Analyse and translate business requirements into conceptual solutions;
• Day-to-day support of in-house applications and integrated systems. This includes all second level support items as well as defect management and after-hours support as needed;
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for BOQ on-premise and cloud environments;
• Ensuring all support issues are turned around within appropriate time frames in line with the urgency/priority of issues;
• Adhering to BOQ change control processes, including ensuring that all changes are appropriately tested and implemented properly; and;
• Providing mentorship and guidance to other team members assisting with support.

About you

Your toolkit for success:

• Understanding and working experience using Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience in deploying and hosting solutions to the Azure platform.
• Proven experience CI/CD pipleline using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• .NET framework understanding including ASP.NET Core framework.
• Proficient in Restful Web Service Design, Service Oriented Application Design.
• Experience reading and understanding technical documentation such as API Documents, Process Flow diagrams etc.
• Knowledge and skills in Azure API Management Platform, or equivalent systems such as CA, Apigee or Mulesoft (desirable)
