Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following: CORE FUNCTION

lAssembling components from detailed general assembly drawings

lTesting of assembled components with hydraulic power units

lPerforming maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment

lReading and comprehending basic hydraulic and electrical schematics

lReading and comprehending basic drawings, specifications, and procedures

lOperating hydraulic power units

lOperation general hand, hydraulic and air tools

lDiagnosing malfunctions and providing technical feedback to Engineering and/or the next level supervisor

lMaintaining shop cleanliness and enduring work is performed in an expedient and safe manner

lCleaning, painting, cycling/flushing tooling and related equipment

lCompleting quality checks on tools to ensure proper assembly, design and functionality are being maintained

lOccasionally travelling off site for tool testing as requested by customers ( NB personnel will not be eligible for offshore deployments for a period of 6 months from their initial date of service)

General

Safety

lEnsure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment;

lCarry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;

lPerform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and

lEliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications and Training

lRelevant Trade Qualification (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic) 
Experience

lMinimum of 2-4 years’ experience in related role

Required Skills and Aptitudes

lProficient computer skills (e.g. Word and Excel)

lAbility to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognising responsibilities and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals

lAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

lKnowledge of safety standards (e.g. Step Back 5x5, JSEA, HSEQ systems etc.)
