Specialist Australian ManufacturerTesting and Quality assurance focusWestern Sydney location The Company This company is the Australian division of a long-standing global organisation which specialises in the manufacture and distribution of a range of high quality bespoke equipment used for safe working at height, material lifting and load restraint, used across a range of industries including Mining, Construction, Defence, Emergency Services, Energy, Chemical, Freight and Manufacturing. The Role Due to their continued growth, a newly created position now exists for a Testing & QA Officer based at their purpose-built manufacturing facility located within their Western Sydney head office. Reporting to the National Manufacturing Manager, this is a hands-on and vairied position which will see you carrying out testing and quality control of materials and finished equipment to ensure that Australian industry standards are adhered to and maintained. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out testing of materials and equipment using inhouse vertical and horizontal test bed equipmentQuality Control of finished materials & equipment to ensure Australian industry standards are metFollowing established company procdures and proccessesCompletion of required documentation & reporting relating to product testing and complianceIdentify non-compliance of products and report issues to management as requiredProviding technical advice / support to internal teams including sales & manufacturingReview systems, policies and practices to ensure continuous improvement and to ensure best practice.Develop excellent working relationships with internal / external stakeholders Ideal candidates will possess: Prior experience in inspection and testing of manufactiured rodcts and equipmentA degree of mechanical aptitudeAn ability to follow and adhere to relavent Australian StandardsA strong understanding of quality control proccessesA strong eye for detailHigh levels of time management and organisational skillsGreat communication / interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-based working environmentGood levels of computer literacy in MS OfficeDemonstrated reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments, with an ability to set realistic goals, problem-solve and establish work priorities.
