ACFI Coordinator – North Brisbane

ACFI Coordinator required for brand new, large, aged care facility in North Brisbane. Be a part of the foundations at this beautiful new facility. 

$83-88k + super 

Must have 18 months to 2 years experience in a similar role. Experience in commissioning an aged care facility would be advantageous.

Your role

  • Work cooperatively with the Group ACFI Coordinator to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of ACFI and its funding implications.
  • Prioritise outstanding reviews as directed by the Group ACFI Coordinator and support Residential staff to complete.
  • Assist Residential staff with the preparation, distribution and assessment/charting for completion for new Residents, and Residents who have been identified as needing review.
  • Audit ACFI Packs monthly to ensure all information (as per the ACFI pack checklist) is presented accurately, completed and justifies submitted claim.
  • Assist with the collation completed information/assessment ready for Application for Classification submission.
  • Discuss discrepancies between suggested submissions with the Group ACFI Coordinator prior to submission to Medicare.

  • Your experience:

  • Bachelor of Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ACFI, including assessments, claims submissions and working within policies and guidelines
  • Proven knowledge of current trends in nursing and current clinical expertise in health and aged care
  • Understanding of new Aged Care Quality Standards and the relationship with ACFI.
  • Demonstrated previous experience with funding business rules and assessment procedures, including ACFI validations.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, particularly in the development and maintenance of relationships with older people, general practitioners, and other healthcare providers
  • Ability to co-ordinate work, including the ability to establish priorities to meet deadlines and commitments
