Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for an Advanced Recreation Officer to join their team. The Adult Acute Psychiatric Unit, Princess Alexandra Hospital is a 64-bed inpatient mental health unit, which falls within Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS). In addition to providing mental health and addiction services across inpatient and community services, MSAMHS deliver acute care services which may be undertaken in the consumer’s home, in GP surgeries or in emergency departments.

About the Role
Design, implement and evaluate a variety of recreational, diversional and social activities to improve or maintain the physical and mental function of inpatient consumers. This position reports operationally to the Allied Inpatient Team Leader and professionally to the Professional Lead of Leisure Therapy and Recreation for Metro South Mental Health and participates regularly in peer supervision with Recreation Officers of Metro South.
