The Company

Established in 1972 the Mitolo Family Farms is a successful and dynamic family owned business supplying potatoes, onions for sale in major Australian supermarket chains and produce markets nationally.  Our business is experiencing high growth, and provides a perfect opportunity for an experienced and mechanically minded and highly motivated individual to take on new challenges within our business.

 

Locations across the Riverland and Mallee areas, anyone living outside these area must be willing to relocate, a relocation package for interstate applicants may be available.

 

The Job

As Farm Maintenance Officer you will work on a variety of farm maintenance tasks and join our successful farming sector of the business. While qualifications are good, experience and a can do attitude count for a lot. You will enjoy a variety of tasks and have the opportunity to repair and maintain an extensive array of farming equipment and machinery.

 

To be successful you will meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent all round mechanical knowledge, experience counts for a lot
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with good diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously in the field
  • Sound knowledge & understanding of WH&S requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Work Ethic
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • You will be required to work at times under pressure and to a deadline
  • You will be required to work overtime and weekends if the need arises
  • Drivers Licence
  • Tools of the trade
