Anaplan’s Global Partner Organization is tasked with overseeing the development of our go-to market strategy and execution model for all partners, including strategic consulting, systems integrators, and reseller partners.

Anaplan’s Planning Platform enables partners to deliver aggressive results for time-to-value while simultaneously creating a Connected Planning roadmap for organization-wide adoption across Finance, Sales Performance Mgmt, Supply Chain, Operations, and more. The individual will play a leading role in alignment with the transformation strategy of Anaplan ANZ; serving as partner-facing to support Sales leaderships and teams, as well as strategic partnership building and development to reach growth objectives, ensure full alignment to goals.

What you’ll be doing:

Alliance Manager (ANZ) is a strategic role that will work with key leaders, at Anaplan and within our ecosystem, through highly cross-functional teams to influence, align and coordinate resources to execute partner strategy within your territory. You will need to work with our entire partner ecosystem – from large global consulting firms / system integrators to boutique Anaplan-focused partners – to ensure the right level of awareness, capacity, capability, and commitment to deliver on our targets.

The successful candidate must balance strategic-thinking with tactical execution; build mutually-beneficial enduring partner relationships, drive highly cross-functional processes, possess a deep understanding of the partner’s and Anaplan’s respective and joint value propositions, and have a general GSD attitude.

In addition, the ideal candidate has the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across the breadth of our partner ecosystem and across our organization. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • The role core coverage will be to identify, build and drive strategic partnerships and executive sponsors for close collaboration and to support key business stakeholders across Anaplan ANZ.
  • Define clear strategic partners alignment to support sales, increase wallet-share in accounts and by origination, secure new customers.
  • Established Anaplan position for high-value engagements with strategic partners.
  • Develop good knowledge of Anaplan offerings and services to expand partners portfolio, creating differentiated joint solutions that broaden and deepen core-focused market coverage, building incremental revenue growth.
  • Continuously review and develop partnership engagements/services metrics, monitor performance, and implement appropriate plans to attain continues results.
  • Own the execution of the Partner strategy in ANZ, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including: Sales, Customer Success, Partner Success, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Design and execute joint marketing activities with partners.
  • Identify and recruit local partners, as needed.
  • Operate as primary liaison between Anaplan and the partner and commercial field sales team on all partner relationship issues.
  • More about you:

  • A successful 10-15+ year tenure managing a leading Global Systems Integrator or similar strategic partnership.
  • You have led the development and execution of a Partner strategy across the ANZ market, in alignment with the GTM strategy of large scale systems integrators, regional based systems integrators, and other route to market partners like resellers.
  • You have been successful in enrolling senior level executives into a partnership with an enterprise scale cloud / saas software solution.
  • Lead by example, advocate and set appropriate expectations to foster strong collaboration of Anaplan teams with go-to-market partners.
  • Provide effective leadership and management to ensure partners are highly engaged and delivering to KPIs set.
  • Ensure active communication of vision, priorities and progress to the business to foster engagement, awareness and motivation.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing investment and development of partner resources; build up skilled and qualified quality customer successes.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the partners operates and ensuring adherence to Anaplan’s policies and procedures requirements and compliance relevant to the role.
  • Highly proficient in navigating matrixed organizations to influence and gain traction with client account teams.

  • Demonstrable experience of Business Development including alliance establishment, alliance management, revenue goal attainment, and marketing.
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities with a track record of instigating go-to-market plans and subsequent sales follow-through.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and manage large personalities and executive audiences on all sides of the alliance.
  • Domain expertise or thought leadership within enterprise planning and performance management / integrated business planning (preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of Global and Regional System Integrators landscape, including market and business specific knowledge
  • Experience with SaaS solutions experience
  • Reputation as a thought leader and solid communicator of business value
  • Strong connector, collaborative and teamwork Experience leading complex SAAS deal management
