We partner closely with the business as well as with senior stakeholders, media and community groups to drive performance, build relationships and manage our exemplary reputation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>The opportunity                         </strong></p><p> </p><p>We have a very unique opportunity for a motivated Application Support Analyst to join our Information Technology team on a 3 year fixed term contract.  Reporting directly to the Application Management Support Team Lead, the primary purpose of the role is to provide IT support services across Sydney Metro with the emphasis on problem management and service improvements.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>What you will be involved in</strong></p><p> </p><p>As the Application Support Analyst you will be responsible for supporting all internal bespoke and off the shelf applications, providing ongoing technical support and BAU troubleshooting. You will support the core applications day to day and act as a first line subject matter expert for the applications used by the business. You will help support and test solutions to business problems within the IT department pertaining to several core applications. You will act as an escalation point and work closely with technology support staff and stakeholders to find robust solutions to business critical issues relating to the suite of applications.  Your focus is not just to resolve incidents, but to find the underlying problem and develop long term solutions.</p><p>You will have demonstrated experience supporting staff and supporting complex, distributed applications.</p><p>Essential to the role will be your ability to communicate effectively and support staff with a wide range of technical abilities.
