  • $ 141,882 – $148,134 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

As the Area Manager you will manage a team and provide expert advice on a diverse range of tenures, reserves and property management functions to achieve government priorities in a specific geographic area. In this role you will develop constructive relationships with stakeholders and tenure holders to ensure issues are appropriately managed.

About you
To be successful in this role you will;

  • Be an excellent communicator and able to build and maintain strong networks with departmental stakeholders across the South East.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing complex tenure, reserve and property management projects with a diverse range of stakeholders in a sensitive political environment with competing interests, conflicting priorities and limited resources.
  • Demonstrate experience in applying legislation, policy and processes consistently and delivering program outcomes.
  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritise competing work demands given the diverse range of issues encountered simultaneously to be resolved with the defined time-frames.
  • Demonstrate an in depth knowledge and understanding of planning, land and natural resource related legislation and an understanding of key commercial drivers in property management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a multi skilled team remotely.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Current drivers’ license and willingness to travel.
