We are currently seeking an Asset Manager to join our Total Asset Management portfolio in Canberra.This role will see you work in collaboration with the Facility Manager across 4 sites. The Asset Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned project.This requires preparing, planning, executing and controlling all aspects of the project either directly or through delegation with the project team.Successful delivery requires monitoring and controlling financials, works schedule, resources (including subcontractors) as well as managing the project stakeholders (internal and external).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of complex projects to the required quality, schedule and budget

  • Ensures delivery of projects on time, within scope with zero or positive deviation.

  • Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywell’s exposure is minimised and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation.

  • Manage project contracts including development of contracts/scopes of work, valuing/certifying payments, valuing variations, accepting finished works, and resolving and negotiating disputes with subcontractors and clients.

  • Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects

  • Produce and maintain appropriate project management documentation including project plan, communication plan, project reports, implementation plans, project schedules and meeting agendas/minutes.

  • Track the projects progress and prepare monthly progress claims and project reports for submission to the client.

  • Developing trust and managing the relationship with customers and ensuring a shared understanding of key issues between all parties is maintained

  • Maintain customer satisfaction at target levels and promptly resolve customer issues. Ensure customer survey is in place.

  • Identify and pursue in conjunction with the Facility Manager any further business opportunities with the customer

  • Key Experience & Capabilities

  • Prior experience in a similar role

  • Direct Project Management history of +$3M projects

  • Thorough knowledge of leading and developing a projects field operation and financial management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others

  • Proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning.

  • Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives

  • Strong customer relation skills with total commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Understanding of business, technology and external environment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision

  • The ability to work under pressure

  • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment

  • Ability to identify technical solutions to customers’ business needs
