AECOM’s Project Management division are a group of specialists who operate across diverse and complex projects from concept to completion.
An Assistant Project Manager in AECOM can expect to be involved in many varied projects and environments, working closely with clients on; enabling works, design development, construction management, contract management, program and project management, business cases or site selection.
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a driven Assistant Project Manager to work closely with State Government in the delivery of Easing Sydney’s Congestion program based in the client office in Parramatta. In this role you will manage the design development of key infrastructure across Sydney’s busiest suburbs, creating a positive and noticeable impact on transport management across the city, while working closely with a Project Manager.
The Assistant Project Manager will be focused on supporting the delivery of a program of works with time, cost, quality and scope objectives to meet client requirements within a delivery-based project management office. This will start as a fixed-term opportunity, with the potential of extension and would suit an Assistant Project Manager with an interest in planning, design and development of transport and transport infrastructure projects.
In this role you will be involved in the design development of road projects on brownfield sites while working closely with multiple and multidisciplinary stakeholder groups. The Assistant Project Manager will have an expectation to deliver objectives as part of an integrated owner’s team and operate in line with the Project Manager’s direction.
The Assistant Project Manager will support the development of projects up to $10M value, liaising with the Project Manager to ensure expectations are satisfied and quality management is maintained.
As a successful Assistant Project Manager on our Easing Sydney’s Congestion program, you will;
Have a good understanding of the principles of project management and experience in their application in managing the design of road and civil design projects for Transport, including traffic management and construction staging;
Assist the completion of nominated projects to agreed time, cost, quality, and scope requirements and to meet Transport for NSW objectives
Have skills in the management of multi-disciplinary teams and good communication skills with an ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels
