As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Ward 6B Cardio Thoracic Surgical Unit, you will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of nurses within the service. In this role you will undertake a portfolio within which you will promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Associate Nurse Unit Managers and the Nurse Unit Manager. You will assist in the implementation of practice changes and undertake ward management responsibilities including performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management as well as financial and supplies planning and monitoring. You will deal appropriately and relevantly with patients and their families where there are multiple complexities, diverse cultural backgrounds and expectations of clients
