About the role

The Auditor Grade II is a member of a field audit team and isaccountable to a Principal Audit Manager. The Auditor Grade II isresponsible for:

  • utilising professional skills and knowledge to assist with audit planning processes
  • undertaking and reporting on financial compliance audits and reviews of internal controls in the public sector
  • assisting in the conduct of extended reviews of issues of importance and interest in the public sector.

Prior audit experience is necessary, as the Auditor Grade IIprovides on the job training and support for less experienced auditstaff.

Essential requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of applying
  • have an appropriate degree that meets the requirements for entry to the professional accounting program offered by CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (through their accredited tertiary course entry pathways).

Special conditions

The preferred candidates will be required to undergo a nationalcriminal history check.


ASO4: $72,135 – $75,616 pa plus 9.5% employer superannuationcontribution.
