The company was founded by serial finTech entrepreneurs who previously founded successful and award winning companies like Evolution and Currency Cloud.

Since starting in 2016 in London the company has expanded across Europe, launched in Singapore and is currently extending capabilities in SE Asia, USA and Australia.

The role

As Australia and New Zealand Country Manager you will be responsible for strategy design, implementation and leading execution of establishing Railsbank in Australia and New Zealand.

Our Australian office is registered in Perth but the location of this role is entirely flexible. You will report to the Head of Growth.

We are looking for you to:

  • Formulate and implement Railsbank go-to-market strategy in Australia and New Zealand
  • Lead the application for and secure an Australian Financial Services license
  • Liaise with local regulators and actively manage regulatory requirements including meeting license conditions
  • Build and develop the local Railsbank team including, but not limited to, sales, customer success, risk, compliance and operations
  • Business Development in Australia and New Zealand, with a mandate to grow and increase revenue
  • Maintain existing partner relationships at executive level and further develop new partnerships across all product rails in the region 
  • Promote Raislbank, its products and vision in regional forums and events
  • Follow the policies and procedures in the Information Security Management System (ISMS) to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of the information that Railsbank manages.

    You’re likely to be educated to degree level or equivalent, with excellent communication skills (across all media) and possess the ability to ‘get things done’ in a flexible dynamic organisation. You will be an expert in your field.

  • Extensive banking and payments experience in the market
  • Deep understanding of product and technology
  • Experience in regulation and fincrime
  • Meet all compulsory local regulatory licensing requirements
  • Desirable

  • Financial modelling
  • Card programme management experience
