Your Opportunity

Mission Australia is on the lookout for a Tender and Submission Officer to join our friendly and proactive team. Work as part of a national team to identify national and local opportunities for business expansion that identifies and meets unmet need. You will need to utilise your communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders, work within a team of close knit individuals and collaborate with a variety of subject matter experts across the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Write tenders to a high standard following the MA format and style guide
  • Work with internal experts and leadership team to articulate services/ service design models in tenders
  • Conduct research on demographic information and evidence based service delivery methods
  • Maintain Systems and processes in support of tender identification
  • Assist in the development of KPIs as required in tenders
  • Ensure all tenders are subject to peer and service delivery review prior to submission
  • Coordinate the tender response process including working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information inputs
  • Conduct research on sector demographic information, policy, framework and service design data
  • Analyse specifications and discuss tender requirements with the Opportunity Assessment Committee
  • Requirements for Success

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in tender writingUndergraduate qualification in relevant discipline (preferred)Proven excellent writing and analytical skills including the preparation of tenders and reportsStrong experience and understanding of issues in community services sectorDemonstrated record in successful submission of funding applicationsHighly skilled in using relevant software applicationsDemonstrated experience and ability in: Project coordinationResearch including qualitative and quantitative methods, data analysis and reportingProject Management skills (desirable)Working to a high level of accuracy and detailManaging and meeting deadlinesOperating within guidelines and direction with minimal supervision and using initiative
