  • The opportunity

    We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a Business Analyst to be a part of our Commercial & Supply Chain Division within Sydney Trains. A uniquely small team reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, this position is pivotal to providing reporting and analytical support across the Division. 

    Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse and translate complex data, obtained from numerous sources, into concise reliable management information
  • Take initiative by reviewing & proposing business improvements based on data analysis
  • Extensive unit costing and excel modelling
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain/maintain specialist and business knowledge and keep up with best practice to ensure ability to effectively influence and win respect of key business stakeholders
  • We are looking for a Business Analyst who has quantitative and analytical skills and demonstrated experience in providing recommendations for a range of complex issues in a Commercial or Financial environment. Ideally you will come from a financial &/or business related background, coupled with demonstrated ability to organise, analyse and communicate information and ideas logically to suit the needs of different target audience groups.
