This is a rare opportunity for a Business Development Manager who is looking for that next step in their career.

A real opportunity to advance into leadership by taking the reigns as General Manager for an international Steel Fabrication company in Auckland.

The Company

This international structural steel fabrication company has more than sixteen years’ experience, they are well known for the consistent delivery of high-quality products in the international market and they continue to grow their operation across the Pacific.

Specialising in supplying pre-engineering building systems to the world’s industrial and commercial construction markets and last year they turned over $25M in Australia operating in Queensland alone, with their major offices in South America and China.  

They have now established Victorian and New South Wales offices and want to do the same in Auckland, Adelaide and Port Moresby. 

To achieve this, they need to find a well-connected and talented Business Development Manager for Auckland who will focus on growing the business in NZ with the backing of an international business.
  
The Position

  • Growing and maintaining the NZ Business.
  • Determine and provide initial quotes to customers/clients and follow up with customers/clients.
  • Actively develop and maintain relationship with customers/clients.
  • Review contracts, managing contracts and ensuring contracts requirements are met.
  • Participate in project management and provide work site supervision when it is necessary and required.  

  
Requirements for this role

  • New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • 8+ years NZ experience in construction and steel fabrication industry.
  • Previous sales record of structural steel products.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of NZ structural steel standards and practice.
  • Established network of contacts, relationship and good reputation within the construction and steel fabrication industry particularly in industrial and commercial projects
