What is the opportunity?

The Business Development Representative will join the Global Sales Team creating the foundation for Zafin to win business, create value for customers and define Zafin’s position in the product and pricing space. Your mandate is to generate and nurture qualified leads while collaborating on targeted growth campaigns for Zafin’s software platform product offering. You will prospect and manage business development activities at the top 100 banks across Europe. You will build of a growth pipeline of key targets and personnel within target organizations including individuals utilizing digital channels and social media to identify new leads and potential new markets.

Location: this position can be based remote in Australia.

What will you do?

  • Identify and target prospective Zafin customers within a geographic territory and market segment. This will be done through prospecting, emailing, calling, LinkedIn and networking.
  • Support sales leadership with strategies, tactics and fully executed materials designed to advance pursuits and win deals.
  • Discover new opportunities for both new and existing customers by conducting outbound pipeline digital lead generation and pipeline qualification.
  • Track activities and maintain relevant information using Salesforce.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and following up in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Partner with our inbound Sales Team to qualify your own leads with our validated sales process.
  • Perform online research of accounts and understand an institutions financial metrics and challenges in order to identify “pain points” and customized messaging.
  • Drive opportunities through qualification while growing a pipeline sufficient to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual Business Development goals.
  • Research and add new account contacts into Salesforce, and maintain data integrity of 98% for existing accounts and contacts.
  • Optimize other marketing programs (market research, event marketing, lead generation, partner marketing, content marketing, account-based marketing, etc.) as needed.
  • Foster a feedback loop with our existing customers, deriving information and insights that will be used to direct and inform product development, marketing and sales strategies and tactics.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must haves: 

  • Bachelor’s degree/College Diploma or equivalent practical experience.
  • A proven track record of building a pipeline of enterprise clients and targeting senior members (VP/C-level) by using a consultative approach to identify client needs.
  • 3+ years professional experience in selling B2B SaaS technology, preferably with a focus on the Banking industry.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a fast paced and multiple stakeholder environment, preferably in Management Consulting, Financial Services or Banking environment.
  • Experience delivering presentations to multiple stakeholders. 
  • Ability to speak another European language.
  • Minimum Required Behavioral Skills / Qualifications

  • Excellent articulation, communication (written/verbal) and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking skills coupled with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders to drive a consistent message in the marketplace.
  • Strong organization and time management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Well versed in social media, social selling and digital growth.
  • Nice to Have’s:

  • Utilization and knowledge of CRM and Sales tracking tools including Salesforce.
  •  Advanced skills in all current desktop technologies.
