The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest  Carpenters  to join our ever-growing team, on a new and exciting Construction Project recently awarded in the Pilbara Region of WA. This role will be FIFO from Perth.

The Project

The Robe Valley Sustaining – MESA A Project is located near Warramboo, approximately 140 km Southwest of Karratha in the Pilbara region of WA.

The town of Pannawonica is the nearest township and is located approximately 14 km northeast of the existing Mesa J hub and approximately 40 km east of the existing Mesa A hub.

Civmec’s Scope for the Mesa A Project includes the supply, fabrication, modularisation, transportation to site, erection, modification, installation, and commissioning of structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation.

Civil and concrete construction works are expected to commence July 2020 with expression of interest interviews commencing immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications
• Mark and line out formwork
• Erect and dismantle formwork as instructed
• Perform second fixing and assist when required
• Inspect and ensure formworks and temporary works are firmly secured prior to concrete pour
• Complete placing of concrete

About You

  • You will be based in Perth, Western Australia or be prepared to make your own way to Perth as the point of hire.
  • Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Current High-risk Elevated Work Platform and Forklift licenses
  • Previous construction experience in the mining and resources sector
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
  • Solis experience with formwork and demonstrated knowledge of concreting and steel fixing
