Big Fat Smile is currently looking for experienced Educators a to join our Illawarra based OSHC centres know as Fun Clubs on a Casual basis as Fun Club Educators.

    We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

    What you’ll do

    Our educators play an integral role in the delivery of high quality early learning programs, services and and care to all Children.  You need great communication skills, understanding of children and the ability to work positively as part of a team! 

    Selection Criteria:

    • Cleared Valid for paid work, working with Children’s Check
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and families
    • Ability to assist in implementing the centre’s program to meet the developmental needs and interests of each child 
    • Commitment to inclusive practices and child protection
    • Understanding of WHS principles
    • Understanding of the National Quality Standards and the National Quality Framework 
    • Previous experience providing support to children with additional needs (desirable)
    • Certificate IV (OSHC), Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or relevant tertiary studies (desirable)
    • Current First Aid (HLTAID004) and CPR (HLTAID001) (or willing to obtain)
