THE ROLE

 

Community Support is seeking reliable and motivated Support Workers to deliver exceptional support services to clients across Adelaide South area.   Support Workers who have experience providing support to Autistic clients are encouraged to apply.

 

Clients receive services in the community, in their own homes, supported accommodation and residential care facilities.

 

Ideally, Support Workers will have hands on experience and be willing to provide a wide range of in-home supports, including assisting clients with their personal care needs, domestic activities, meal preparation and social support.

 

Support Workers may also be required to assist clients with complex personal needs (bowel care, seizure or medication management, peg feeding etc.), as well as using lifters and providing transportation services. Client specific training is provided to all successful candidates who are required to provide complex support services to our clients.  We also offer active and passive overnight shifts.

 

Support Workers will deliver high-quality services to clients and ensure all supports are delivered in a timely manner.

Candidates will need some current qualifications and training to meet our minimum requirements:

 

·         Must have a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent Certificate in Disability,

          Aged Care, Mental Health or Nursing

·         Current DCSI Child Related and DCSI Disability Employment Services Clearances

·         Current Criminal History Police Check

·         Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling Certificates 

·         Current Unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License and Roadworthy Vehicle
