The Chianti Duty Manager

You will join the Chianti family and play a leadership role in driving our service-focussed culture. As a permanent full time Duty Manager you will be responsible for ensuring our guests enjoy a true dining experience. Bringing out the best in your team together, you will deliver this remarkable experience.

Your role and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Delivering day to day leadership and management of the FOH teams.
  • Effectively managing rosters.
  • Briefing and debriefing the team.
  • Stock control, Stocktakes, Ordering & supervision thereof.
  • Learning & Development training of staff in all policies and procedures.
  • Particularly promote and increase bar trade and its profitability.
  • Liaise with liquor representatives, advertising, social media consultants.
  • Comply with all Liquor Licensing conditions.
  • Take a proactive approach in training employees on their responsibilities regarding Fire and Bomb Safety,
  • Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.
  • Deal with concerns that may arise as a result of staff misbehaviour or customer complaints.
  • Overseeing general up keep of all areas around the restaurant.
  • Work closely with other Managers.
  • Maintain a constant visible physical presence in public areas during opening hours.
  • Attend weekly management meeting with the Management Team.
  • Till reconciliations and Accounts.
  • Other duties as requested by senior management.

    It is critical that you are an experienced leader who is energised by the connections they make with diners and team members. Having previously worked in a fast paced restaurant food & beverage operation you have a knack for multi-tasking and creating a sense of calm on the floor.

    We need you to bring with you:

  • Ability to attend to customer requests quickly & efficiently
  • Proven ability to connect with customers & anticipate Guests’ needs
  • Strong commitment to maintaining product knowledge of all menu items & wines lists
  • Excellent knowledge of food, wine & spirits; Italian cuisine knowledge is highly desired
  • Impeccable presentation & grooming
  • The skills that will ensure you fly with us:

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; fluent English is a must
  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail
  • Qualification/Experience

    Minimum of Diploma or at least 3 years relevant work experience.

    Position

    Full time, with a salary of $55,000 – $60,000.
