The successful applicant must:

  • demonstrate the importance of education in faith in our Catholic community
  • have a knowledge of effective teaching strategies in English, Mathematics, Inquiry Learning and the use of ICT in the classroom to integrate the curriculum
  • have effective interpersonal skills which assist in promoting supportive and caring relationships with staff, students and families
  • be reflective of their practice as outlined in the AITSL Standards and open to giving and receiving feedback
  • effectively use data to inform the teaching and learning of students
  • plan and deliver learning experiences that are differentiated to accommodate a range of abilities and student needs
  • have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • be committed to the safety and wellbeing of all students
  • engage students in relevant purposeful learning experiences and empower students to have ownership of their learning
  • be familiar with and comply with the school’s child safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety.

    Special Requirements

    The successful applicant must:

  • hold accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
  • have a strong knowledge and commitment to the child safety standards and policies
  • have an effective practice in wellbeing where an understanding of how children are enabled to be resilient and adaptive
  • hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
  • hold current First Aid certificate.
