What you’ll be doing
The Cleaner/Handyperson is responsible for duties in the maintenance area including cleaning of all laundry machinery, and assisting skilled tradespersons in various maintenance tasks. About you We are looking for someone who is able to work autonomously as well as be a team player, who can follow written and verbal instructions, have proven industrial cleaning experience, and who can show initiative and use logical problem solving skills. Ideally, the successful person for this role will have the following licences and tickets, however, if you do not have these, it will not impact with your application: Licence Class C/MR/HR, Forklift, Scissor Lift, and Working at Heights ticket. Pre-employment vaccination and health assessment (PEVHA)

This is a NSW Health Category A position, which requires immunization/screening against the following:

– Whooping Cough

– Hepatitis B

– Measles/Mumps/Rubella

– Chicken Pox

– Tuberculosis

– Influenza

Please give an example of a time when you worked on a task by yourself, and when you worked as part of a team, and what steps were taken to make sure that the task is completed efficiently, within the company’s policies/procedures and within the allocated timeframe?

4) The successful candidate does not necessarily need a mechanical background, however, we are looking for someone who can use their logical problem solving skills in order to assist our maintenance team for basic repairs and maintenance tasks. Please give an example of when and how you used your problem solving skills, and what was the end result?
