This role is jointly funded by Metro North HHS and the UQ Faculty of Medicine. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will split their activities equally between clinical duties and research and education duties. The purpose of this role is to provide high level clinical services in IBD (RBWH) and endoscopy (RBWH) as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Provide the highest standards of care in the management of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, working with an experienced multi-disciplinary team and other senior and junior colleagues. Work with the IBD team to build on current services and maintain high levels of safety and accountability.

About the Role
Demonstrate high levels of expertise in the assessment and management of patients with IBD;
Work effectively as a senior physician lead within a multidisciplinary team;
Contribute to the inpatient and outpatient IBD service;
Develop and contribute to new initiatives and clinical audit, research and education within the IBD program;
Perform endoscopy to a high level;
Contribute to the unit’s educational and training activities.
