An opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to lead and deliver expert clinical leadership in the provision and coordination of contemporary, person centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to work as a defined clinical specialist within a dynamic health environment at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. The CNC is expected to demonstrate an advanced level of autonomous clinical and professional practice and decision making in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility and accountability for own actions and the delegation and supervision of nursing care to Registered Midwives (RMs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs).
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the multidisciplinary team through the provision of clinical nursing expertise and leadership
  • Provide nursing leadership that drives system and quality improvement initiatives and change management
  • Take accountability for outcomes and achievement of service performance targets
  • Remuneration value up to $143 803 p.a., comprising salary between $116 092 – $126 037 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7).
