About West Moreton’s Child and Youth Mental Health Service
Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is a specialised team of health professionals that provides assessment, treatment and management of children and young people aged 0 to 17 years who have/or at risk of developing severe and complex mental health issues.
All programs provide targeted treatment/interventions taking into consideration the child’s/young person’s age and physical, psychological and social needs. Interventions may include individual therapy, family therapy and group work.
About the role
In this role you will provide a comprehensive and flexible mental health service to children and young people including where appropriate, their families or carers. This includes assessment, planning and intervention within the context of a multidisciplinary environment. These services include the use of core discipline assessment skills, diagnostic and formulation skills, therapy, treatment planning and case management/brokerage skills, in accordance with evidence-based practice.
