About the Role:  

The successful candidate will provide specialist developmental assessment and intervention programs to address complex issues for people living with disabilities, including mental health.


You will communicate, coach and foster relationships between the people we support, their families and the CLO employees providing support  to contribute to positive outcomes for our clients.


You will:

  • Planning, developing and delivering a combination of individualised and group interventions for people with complex needs including mental health 
  • Implementing evidence based applied behaviour analysis, positive programming and active support plans across multiple in-home locations
  • Providing support and guidance to team members to implement and promote best practice in service delivery
  • Engaging with various stakeholders in the identification and development of least restrictive practices resources inline with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines
  • Active involvement with programme implementation within service delivery areas
  • Contribute to the development of innovative practices and programs, reviewing and evaluating progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitating consumer engagement and feedback


To be successful: 

You are highly experienced in positive behaviour support approaches and in the development and implementation of positive behaviour support plans. In addition, you have demonstrated experience supporting people with complex needs and contributing to positive developmental outcomes.


You will be motivated and results oriented, and share CLO’s values of ensuring people with a disability experience great opportunities and a great life!


It is essential that you are eligible to register with at least one of the below professional associations/boards:

  • Developmental Educators Australia Inc.
  • Psychology Board of Australia
  • Australian Association of Social Workers

In addition, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Disability & Developmental Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Health Science or Master of Psychology
  • Experience supporting people living with disabilities/mental health
  • Valid Senior First Aid
  • Current Driver’s License
  • DCSI Clearance (Disability-Related)
  • Confidence using ‘smart device’ technology and Microsoft Office Suite
