We are seeking an experienced Coding Auditor/Educator to work onsite for one of our clients across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to maximise your earning potential! 

This Hospital provides services including critical care, medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric, and rehabilitation care. We also provide mental health and community health services. We work with a team of specialists which include cardiovascular, gastroenterology, renal medicine, obstetrics, orthopaedics, psychiatry and paediatrics. There is also the provision of a full range of allied health and support services such as dental, physiotheraphy, occupational therapy, and violence prevention and response services. One opportunity we are currently seeking interest for is based in NSW. Our client is a busy hospital where the coding casemix is complex. The suitable applicant for this opportunity will have 5+ years of Auditor/Educator experience and will have worked in a busy tertiary hospital across a complex casemix
About the ideal candidate

  • Have successfully competed Associate Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science, Health Information Management (or equivalent)Have successfully completed the Certificate of Clinical Coding Auditing (or equivalent)Previous experience as a clinical coding auditorHave successfully completed HIMAA Clinical Coding Course (or equivalent)Have a minimum of 5 years’ recent experience as a clinical coding including complex and varied casemixHave a thorough understanding and knowledge of clinical coding using the current ICD-AM and the ability to apply up to date coding standards and practiceBe able to work within a team environment or independently, using initiative to investigate concerns and participate in the development of audit programsHave well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skillsHave effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, planning, and organisation skillsAbility to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, managing multiple tasks, delivering results within timeframes and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholdersHigh level computer literacy using Microsoft Office and 3M Codefinder
