Job Reference: XXXN-JO-******** 12 month (maternity leave) contract position based in Melbourne CBDProvide support in the ongoing expansion & profitable operation of the businessInsightful financial analysis & reporting in preparation for and throughout commercial negotiationsAs part of the growing Commercial team, the Commercial Analyst role will provide support in the ongoing expansion and profitable operation of the business, through the provision of insightful financial analysis and reporting in preparation for and throughout commercial negotiations.Key responsibilities include but not limited to:Leading the preparation of detailed qualitative and quantitative reports, including written recommendations, statistical analyses and evaluations of practice performance compared to market trendsConducting financial analysis and modelling for extensions and preparation of business casesReporting and analysing business performance (management reporting)Providing support to Commercial Managers in commercial negotiations and acquisition settlementsReport and analyse business performance via regular management reporting processesProviding support to merger and investment, including evaluating and producing business cases for merger propositions and major capital investments, analysing business performance in support of contractual negotiations, and preparing financial modelsLegal and regulatory compliance and adherence to internal operating procedures as applicableReview and provide financial acumen for site performance for development of site operational business plan articulating potential run-rate improvementYour background:Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce or accountingExperience in financial and/or commercial analysis roles, preferably within a large, multisite and complex environment (experience gained from working within the healthcare arena would be advantageous)Professional memberships and/or postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA or MBA desirable but not essentialExcellent financial/quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to think strategically about the business and market opportunitiesStrong financial acumen, including extensive experience in building complex financial models and analysing outputsDemonstrated written and oral communication skills, with an ability to work effectively across all levels in the organisationLateral thinking skills, including ability to see the big pictureMust be computer literate to advanced level in spreadsheets and intermediate/advanced level in word processing and presentation packages, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPointProven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and key stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to role model the Bupa values at all timesHow to apply:If you want to work in a positive, fast-paced environment, click Apply Now to submit your CV and cover letter.
