UGL has a requirement for a Communications Lead Maintenance Supervisor at the university at St Lucia.
 

You will be required to deliver high quality Communications Maintenance services to our client.Strong ability to provide supervision and coordination as directed by Management and the Client. Obtain a complete understanding of the required contractual KPI’s and meet and exceed our obligations. Ensure safe and effective operation of the contract through communication, promotion of Safety and Quality Assurance, technical assistance and sound business practices. Customer relations are essential in this role with an emphasis on development of sound business relationships.

About the role 

  • Ensuring the execution of jobs to meet the standards and expectations of the client, within scheduled time
  • Provide information to management on the status of preventative maintenance
  • Ensure self and team follow all permit to work policies, procedures and work practices as required by UGL
  • Review and approve all SWMS for the team. Lead the safety observation program. Ensure that field task risk assessments are undertaken
  • Monitoring and reporting of KPI’s as relevant to the position and the development of plans and actions to continuously improve contract maintenance delivery.
  • Contribute to, understand and promote the HSE Management Plan. Lead and model high standards for safety, health, environment and housekeeping

About You

  • CommScope and Molex experience
  • Experience with fault finding on CAMS9 system
  • Extensive knowledge of FLIR systems and concept panels
  • Experience in supervising teams
  • Ability to build Professional relationships with the Team and the Client
  • Security Licence / Open Cablers Licence
  • Minimum EWP High Risk Work Licence – below 11m (RIIHAN301D) or preferred EWP WP – 11m and over certificate (TLILIC2005A)
  • Work Safely at Heights certified (RIIWHS204D)
