Kelly services & Programmed are seeking to engage with an exceptional Fraud and Corruption Compliance Manager to work for a renowned State Government agency based in Haymarket.

The successful candidate will be part of a small and dynamic Internal Audit and Assurance Governance team. This position plays a key role in corruption prevention and reports to the Senior Manager, Fraud and Corruption Risk Management & Control.

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain Baseline security clearance and comply with pre-employment background checks.

The duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement a risk-based a fraud and corruption compliance program across eight key risk categories that is core to a corporate wide prevention and detection program, and ensure the program is aligned to business objectives and risk management principles.
  • Monitor, assess and report on key risk compliance, control, performance and governance indicators.
  • Provide support, training, advice and recommendations on improving compliance with policies & procedures and monitor the implementation of these recommendations.
  • Undertake fraud and corruption control assurance reviews, individually or as part of a team, with a risk focus, ensuring that completed projects add value and are executed in accordance with quality standards, plans, budgets, feedback requirements and within agreed timeframes.
  • Complete high-quality assurance reports for all assignments with an opinion on the risk management, internal control environment and practical suggestions to remedy weaknesses
  • Undertake advisory engagements to provide proactive advice to management to facilitate continuous improvement and contribute to best practice processes, systems and controls
  • Drive the ongoing follow up of the completion of agreed assurance recommendations to ensure that they are addressed by management in agreed timeframes
  • Monitor and analyse information, intelligence, business systems and key performance and risk indicators and determine if updates to risk documentation or business profiles or a review is required
  • Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the operational framework for NSW Government departments
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Compliance Auditor, Compliance Manager or similar position
  • Exceptional communication, auditing and reporting skills
  • Fraud and corruption risk management experience is highly desirable
