Are you a concrete labourer with finishing, kurbing and Channell experience looking for work? We have an opportunity within Brisbane City Council, Infrastructure. As part of the team, you will be working on various sites/projects around Brisbane.

About your new role

This role will be working across Brisbane involved in projects you will have experience operating power tools and general labouring from a similar role. You will need specific experience within concreting or asphalt through the provision of maintenance and construction support.

Ideally will be able to demonstrate experience in a role where you were involved in 3 or more of the following

  • Concrete channels, kerb, footpaths and formwork
  • Concrete labouring with alot of finishing experience
  • Gravel and asphalt pavements
  • Stormwater gullies, manhole inlets & outlets
  • Pipelines and conduits
  • Construction of Formwork
  • Traffic Control
  • Used Screedboard to spread asphalt
  • Erect scaffolding
  • Traffic signal installation
  • Repairs to road and footbridges
  • What you will need to exceed

    We are looking for an experienced labourer with experience in the construction of concrete and /or asphalt structures and pavements. You will need to be reliable and with a strong sense of teamwork.

  • Work safety in the Construction Industry (White Card)
  • First Aid & Current CPR
  • Traffic Management Awareness Training
  • Ability to gain Asbestos Awareness training
  • Working at Heights (desirable)
  • Confined space (desirable)
