The stuff you’ll be doing:

You will have the opportunity to become part of the Retail Insights team, acting as the key link between our clients and IRI. You will not only be responsible for analysing and reporting market data, you will also be part of a high performing team which partners with your clients and offers consultancy and support to encourage their business goals. By working with IRI, you will enjoy the variety of working across a wide range of categories and products as well as having the opportunity to develop into a specialist within your field.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Develop, maintain and execute assigned initiatives to deliver growth for our clients.
  • Use our proprietary software to mine data, construct reports and provide insights that align with clients’ needs.
  • Liaise with clients on a daily basis, attending client meetings, asking important business questions, and providing ongoing client support.
  • Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders as well as providing analytical support.

Who you are:

You will be organised, analytical and pro-active, possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and ‘curious’ nature; someone who loves working as part of a team.  Working with Retail clients, you will have a project management mindset to be able to manage multiple priorities and requests coming through on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.  You are passionate about getting into the numbers, with an excellent attention to detail and time management skills. You will be confident speaking to stakeholders and love to go the extra mile to make a difference with our customers.

You must have:

  • A tertiary qualification in relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Commerce.
  • Commercial work experience relevant to market research and category analysis in the Retail / FMCG market, minimum 2 years would be ideal.
  • Great Microsoft Excel skills with a solid understanding of how data works.
  • Ideally have worked within a category, sales or market research department of a retailer, supplier or similar data agency.
  • A current drivers licence and own car would be preferable as you will be required to travel to client sites.
