About us

Located on the stunning Mornington Peninsula overlooking a vineyard valley, T’Gallant Winery will offer you an enviable workplace and lifestyle. Inspired by Italy, but firmly rooted in the Mornington Peninsula, T’Gallant is one of the most popular wineries on the Peninsula, with our fresh food-friendly wines always a hit with visitors.

About the role

We are super exited to be re-opening! We are currently hiring for a Cook Grade 4. Reporting to our Pizza Chef, your responsibilities will include the preparation of roman-styled, wood-fired pizza from dough preparation through to service. You will work to the highest standards every day and expect the same from those around you. You will possess a very high level of organisational skills and have the capability to execute daily tasks with the utmost professionalism.

We are open 7 days (9am-5pm) therefore the position will require weekend commitments but no evenings required.

About you

We are searching for a qualified grade 4 Cook. You will be enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about your field of work, enjoy contemporary practices with a sense of humour, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment along with an ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment. Relevant grade 4 qualifications and previous experience in a similar position is essential.

How to apply

We move quickly at T’Gallant and continually review applications, so if you don’t want to miss out, apply today.

Please note that cover letters are not required (we really mean this!) We want to get to know you, so all applicants will receive an email to invite them to complete some online assessments that will cover three areas: personality profile, cultural fit and situational judgement tests. (Whilst the tests are not specific to a chef, they will help give us some insights into your approach to hospitality.)

The assessments should take around 30 minutes in total and you will get a report at the end of it. We will then be in touch ASAP to update you on how your application is progressing. We ask you to try to complete the assessments ASAP – ideally within 24-48 hours.
