Located on the edge of Adelaide’s CBD adjacent to the beautiful South Eastern Park Lands, St Andrew’s is the largest independent private Hospital in Australia, with more than 35,000 procedures being performed each year. Our patients are admitted electively or via our Emergency Service, and we cater for most surgical specialties including (but not limited to) cardiothoracic, neuro, hepatobiliary, major bowel, urology, and major plastics.  Building on our successful base, we opened our brand new CSSD facilities last year, following on from a $50 million upgrade and expansion of our clinical facilities.

 

About The Role:

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sterilisation Technician with leadership skills to progress their career pathway in CSSD.

 

The CSSD Supervisor assists the CSSD Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Hospital’s CSSD by providing day to day supervision, assistance and coaching of work area staff to achieve quality outcomes within a process driven environment. 

 

This is a full time position with some shift work and out-of-hours work from time to time.

 

About You:

 

This position will ideally suit Sterilisation Technicians who possess relevant qualifications (minimum Certificate III in Health Sciences – Sterilisation) and sound experience within a hospital based CSSD.  Previous experience in a leadership / supervisory role is also essential.

 

Other key requirements include:

  • well-developed knowledge of CSSD functions and tasks
  • the ability to deliver a quality service through effective team leadership
  • experience in managing workflow processes to achieve efficiency and safety
  • a strong customer service orientation
  • a high level of self-motivation.

Hours:

 

This is a full-time position.  Start and finish times may vary and the role will work predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional out of hours or weekend work as agreed.
