The NSW Education StandardsAuthority (‘NESA’) was formally established on 1 January 2017 to improvequality teaching and student learning across all schools and schoolsectors. It is responsible for the curriculum,assessment, teacher accreditation and regulatory standards in NSW schools, andaccreditation of early childhood teachers.

TheCurriculum Reform Senior Years Team Leader plays a key role in the developmentof syllabuses to support curriculum reform. The role requires closecollaboration and shared responsibility with the other reform leaders forsyllabus development to support curriculum reform. Responsibilities includeleading teams for the development of syllabuses, support material and syllabusimplementation in the Learning Areas in Years 11 – 12. The role contributes tomeeting the objects of the curriculum reform based on the findings of the NSWCurriculum Review.
