The centre for Biostatistics and Clinical Trials (BaCT) is seeking two Clinical Database Design & Development Associates to join the Data Management team in a full time capacity on a two year contract.

The role is responsibile for designing, developing and validating clinical trial databases in REDCap, VieDoc and other Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems to collect clinical trial data per the protocol. The role works in collaboration with the trial team including, investigators, statisticians, clinical trial project managers and data managers in the delivery of the clinical trial.

Job responsibilites:

  • Review unique Case Record Forms (CRFs) to ensure compliance with the protocol design and data standards
  • Design and develop clinical trial database in EDC systems following standard database development procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The database creation includes; database and data entry screens setup, coding configuration, edit checks development, data export setup and all other related tasks
  • Generate and maintain all required database development documentation including; database specifications and programmes, annotated CRFs, and all other database documentation
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the study database (including a review of database structure, data entry screens and data quality checks) to ensure that the data collection modules are designed and sequenced according to protocol and in compliance with the protocol
  • Support the study team in development and reporting on study timelines
  • Support data management team in development and management of SOPs as applicable
