The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to join our growing Development function representing Transport NSW and leveraging our assets to develop integrated transport and property precinct solutions.

The role of a Development Manager focusses on pursuing potential development opportunities for multiple existing sites and taking them from the initial concept stage through design, approvals and ultimate delivery whilst ensuring the end product delivers on government objectives and maximises return on investment for all parties involved.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager with solid demonstrable experience in taking development opportunities from initial feasibility and concept design stages, through approvals and then successful delivery. 

The successful candidate will have a track record of efficiently delivering multiple mixed use development, urban renewal, infrastructure and major property projects whilst consistently achieving desired project objectives.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the successful development and/or delivery of major property, urban renewal and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven knowledge of the principles of property, urban renewal and Transport development and evaluation, relating to large scale multi-disciplinary programs or projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and liaising with private sector proponents on behalf of Government to achieve project objectives.
  • Self starter able to lead and deliver, with strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally and work collaboratively
