The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian (Reliever) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Manage an allocated workload and participate in clinical rotation to deliver professional level nutrition and dietetic services to patients
  • Undertake routine nutrition assessment, implementation and evaluation tasks within established clinical and departmental protocols, policy and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice principles
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams, and in service improvement activities, working cooperatively and effectively within the team and with patients/clients to provide high quality patient care
  • Assist in the development and/or review of clinical practices, procedures and protocols in a work area using the principles of evidence-based practice under the guidance of senior staff

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Eligibility for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and accredited practicing Dietitian (APD) credential
  • Blue Card – working with children check
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary

  • Temporary part time (hours negotiable, up to 6 months, with possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $37.31 – $50.06 per hour
