This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and tech-savvy intern. We do not expect you to be an expert, but instead to have a passion for the current app landscape, eager to learn new skills and willing to work in a fast-paced startup looking to transform the PetTech space.

Ideally, we are looking for a recent digital marketing graduate or current digital marketing student for a flexible 4 days per week. The successful applicant will be highly likely to gain full time employment at the end of the 6 -12 week intern period if they demonstrate strong ability.

The Role:  

We’re growing rapidly and looking for an App Community Coordinator Intern that will further help shape and grow our bubbling pet community. Specifically, we are looking for someone who will help us use our social, online and offline platforms to build a real sense of kinship. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will assist the team to measure engagement using community metrics and social reporting tools. Your focus will be primarily to engage users in the Baxta app, tracking user engagement through analytics. You will be helping us drive app downloads through user referrals. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Increase engagement of the users on the Baxta app
  • Bring the voice of the brand into the community via organic posts 
  • Drive users to generate content on the app
  • Create engagement between Baxta and the followers
  • Increase the perceived value of being in the Baxta app community
  • Encourage pet-related business owners to join the Baxta app community
  • Encourage other members of related communities to join the Baxta app community
  • Create events that integrate with the Baxta app
  • Tap into community events that can be showcased on the app
  • Generate special interest groups on the app
  • Create in-app posts that integrate with the Baxta social
  • Promote the Baxta app community within other apps
  • Create dynamic photos and videos and other social content 
  • Manage the app community component of the content calendar
  • Improve the UX of the app through user-generated content and a more holistic experience of the app 
  • Moderate in-app comments 
  • Generate App Store reviews
  • Integrate into promotions, and competitions with the social team
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools and best practices
  • Report on app analytics to drive results and objectives as required
  • Experience and skills:  

  • Marketing, UX/UI or Social Media Marketing Degree preferred 
  • A finger on the social pulse: knowledge of the platforms inside and out and the ability to recognise opportunities to generate buzz inside the app 
  • Knowledge of different apps and social platforms –what other brands are building active user base inside their apps
  • Ability to track, report on and optimise social campaigns using social reporting tools
  • Ability to write, create and post across all formats, making use of interactive elements (e.g. HD video, in-platform captioning, polls, stickers, stories, live events)
  • Killer attention to detail and the ability to work in an agile and quick manner
  • Excellent written and verbal English; experience writing and scheduling social posts
