The Director, Academic Planning and Performance will be at the forefront of delivering this – driving the planning, performance and reporting framework for Swinburne’s Academic Portfolio and ensuring actions of the Academic Portfolio directly connect to the strategy set by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic (DVCA) and the University’s broader strategic direction.
Reporting to the DVCA, this position is integral to delivering key advisory support to the DVCA on matters relating to academic operational planning, and performance monitoring and implementation. Utilising a comprehensive knowledge of academic operations and crucial operational drivers in higher education, this role will oversee and lead the Academic Planning and Performance team in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), providing subject matter expertise to the Academic Portfolio business lines in their development of annual plans and KPIs.
Working to enhance the effective governance of Swinburne’s Academic Portfolio, this position will be a key conduit to the Academic Executive Group, providing timely, expert, and strategic advice correlating to performance insights on issues regarding the implementation and delivery of the Portfolio’s priorities. This position will collaborate with experts across the organisation to devise recommendations designed to improve the implementation and delivery of the Academic portfolio’s strategic priorities. Adopting an evidence-based approach, the Director, Academic Planning and Performance will proactively engage opportunities to build trust, influence and negotiate with other key stakeholders to realise these high-priority objectives.
